next meetup: Thurs, 9/22 @ Lullabot's place!

Our next Providence Drupal Meetup will be on Thursday, September 22nd at 6:00pm at Lullabot's Activity Center (150 Chestnut St, 3rd Floor, Providence, RI). We’ll be kicking back with food and drink in their swanky new space. Parking is free on and off street (starts at 5 pm).

Doors open at 6 pm; we ask that you try to arrive by 6:30 pm for networking. The program starts promptly at 7 pm. The program includes introductions, some quick presentations, and a chance to pick the brains of your fellow attendees.

This month's meetup is going to be great for designers from every walk of life. Matt Dutra from Rubic Design + Interactive will be talking about the design challenges of translating design language from print to web systems like Drupal - Today's web is always changing and designing for all those variables can be hard. Matt will cover some approaches to designing for long/short content, text heavy/image heavy pages, different devices and screens (color, type, scale). Be sure to stop in, Matt is sure to entertain.

Please RSVP via the comments below, and please pass it along. Have no fear - we will have free appetizers and drinks and lots of good times talking and learning Drupal.

See you soon!

I am sure that many readers will agree with me when I say that this is needed especially in times like what we are going through right now.
